I've heard this story. Love it. I love Dustin, too though, but I've always heard he could be difficult to work with.
Like some of his stuff, eg Little Big Man, but not all of it. Loathed Midnight Cowboy, as did most of the cinema audience at the showing I attended. Halfway through the movie the cinema was almost empty. My wife and I left too before the end of it.
