It was a lion in the movie, which is a real life animal. Creature is for supernatural stuff.
We're getting into an interpretive area here, whether it would count or not, but that amazing design of that creature doesn't count for this pick now, right?
Is there a chance I'm overthinking this and taking it too seriously?
Are we still talking about BOTW? It was a lion with some funky barding to make it appear as a supernatural creature. It was a great design by the filmmakers. Regarding the events in the actual film, the whole point was they took a real creature, trained it to be even more vicious and dressed it up in order to scare the hell out of people to push their agenda. It's a 'beast' by definition in this draft (and also by name, how convenient!).
