Never seen it always seemed so dumb, and I never really heard a lot of people defending it.

But I'm okay with Jeremy Renner, and I like Gemma Arterton a lot. And now, looking at the cast, Peter Stormare, Famke Janssen, and Derek Mears are all the more reason to give it a shot. And I see that the guy who directed the Dead Sno movies directed it. I shouldn't have been so dismissive.

It's not high art, that's for sure. But it's a blast. Go in with zero expectations and you should have fun. I think Renner carries it and makes it a legit supernatural action/comedy. With a bad actor, it's probably unwatchable.
