The growth of the Science Fantasy genre itself is one of the strongest signs of the immaturity of people- 70 years ago it hardly existed and most movies dealt with the real world in some form. Wondering why Star Trek is childish is a sign that a person has no clue about their subject. While the video was a bit funny and a bit stupid so is your comment. Space travel is kind of a thing right now. Do you have a TV no seriously do you have a TV purchased in the past 60 years? Space travel is not "a kind of a thing" right now. They are doing what was done in the 1960's- going up just past the atmosphere and coming back. If this is "space travel" then splashing on the beach is "swimming in the ocean". Actual travel would be going somewhere. BTW- I have a very nice TV- but I don't get my science education from Star Trek screenwriters (as many do). Might be interesting to open a science book once and a while- try it!
