I thought it was ridiculous that Costner, a former police officer, is pointing a gun at the bad guys, but they are still able to jump him and get his gun. I hated what they did to him as well as the way the movie ended. Very unsatisfying 3rd act ruined what could’ve been a good movie.

I will say that the scene in the motel is the one I had the most issues with in the movie though. Him not asking through the door to make sure it is the former daughter and law was a bit hard to believe and so is the fact that the Manville clan didn't bring any guns, though they are shown to be overconfident in their power.

The scene is just so fucking intense though and it made my blood boil. I love scenes like that and can overlook certain hard to believe things because I am such a big fan of scenes like that. The scene is extremely well acted as well.

I agree the movie is very intense and “blood boiling.”
