Although it sounds like you may be talking about best performance, as opposed to best film. Not sure which one you meant.
I think the OP means that he doesn't pick more interesting movies and mostly stays within a certain genre.
That isn't so much true anymore though. He has played an interesting variety of characters in the last 5 years or so.
