Hugh Grant's best film?

My favorite movie of his is probably Bitter Moon.

For performance, as moviemouth said in the last few years he seem to be branching out more. I think my two favorite performances of his are The Gentlemen and Paddington 2. He was a lot of fun in both of those and quite different from his romantic comedy roles that he's known for.
