Scarlett Johansson in "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON"

I think she'd be good in pretty much anything, myself.

But two things. For one, if the movie is anything at all like the original then she'll be playing a victim of the creature, at least to some extent. And she's pretty good at playing that kind of vulnerability - see the early scenes of Lucy for example.

But, this being the modern age, the movie is probably going to want her to be doing actiony stuff herself, too, rather than just being a victim who screams a lot whilst the men rescue her. And of course, she's shown many times over that she's very capable in that role.

So she seems well suited to this kind of role, IMO.
