I'd have liked to see you as Eric Birling....
- My memories of this play go back to when I saw it as a young woman in a local theater. I liked it then and I liked the film as well as far as one can like the sad story behind it. What a pleasant surprise that the TV movie was aired on ARD ONE, last week.
As for Lenny, there is no doubt that both Dustin Hoffman and Valerie Perrine gave outstanding performances. The film itself felt somewhat outdated to me and in parts reminded me of my children when they were in their puberty and used to repeat the tabooed words endlessly, just to provoke their parents.
