Just watched it for the first time just now. Interesting question... I lean towards the side of leaving it as it is. You can still pursue the quarterback and put a hand on him to make sure he doesn't do this without getting flagged, and it's a subtle enough move that it doesn't make it the unnecessary roughness call much of a risk.
This obviously worked incredibly well, but it's not something I'd think to work that well ever again.
