I hear ya, and I get it, I just don't have the same vitriol towards it as most others do. Which is weird, because baseball is the only pro sport of the Big 4 I regularly follow. I just don't get into the sacrosanctity of the records, the HOF, all of that stuff.

And if I had thought any damned one of them had juiced up to win games, I might feel differently. Bonds juiced to get McGwire/Sosa limelight. Clemens juiced to resurrect his career. Sosa juiced because he figured out that guys who hit 50-60 HR's make a fuck of a lot more money than guys who hit 10-15. And they are still hurting the game. Anyone who hit over 40 a year will hear "ROIDS ROIDS", (it happened to Stanton, Judge et al). Do I think the records should be erased, no. Do I think they should be in the Hall of Fame, fuck no. I've argued from one baseball corner of this internet to the other saying putting Joe Jackson in the Hall is like putting Hitler in the Jewish HOF. And the juicers are just modern Black Sox. I'm as big of a baseball nut as you and I don't think the record book is the 5th Gospel. But those records are like the all-time wins ans strikeout records. garbage.
