Soo... January 10 Olympic deadline... they can still pull the plug after that but it'd have financial costs.
I think we're down to 70% probability NHL players going to China. Already, some players want to pause the whole schedule until after Christmas.
While there would be no barrier to players individually opting out, there may be peer pressure to go - esp for the Russian team.
If Omnicron erodes the next 3-5 weeks, I'd say the NHL Olympics are off. The league & PA would surely just play the make up NHL postponements in Feb with the freed up scheduling window.
