Why does God allow bad things and suffering?

You didn't choose to be so gullible, emotional, nor so hilariously campy.

Free will doesn't require violent and rapacious natures. God demonstrably knows how to make people who fit the bill for heaven, he just chooses to grant that to some and not others.
