PRESENTS!!!!!

Is it wrong to give a present to someone purely because I like their avatar and nick? (yet have no idea what kind of a poster they are. I have seen them around but dont remember specific convos)

Or should I be a responsible community member and do a research on them before I give them a present, to make sure I am not rewarding, I dunno, an inflammatory insult troll who just likes to hate on people or someone who only brings negative energy here?

Now if you get a present from me and think you have a cool nickname and avatar, you should know you WERE carefully vetted and passed as a decent to good person. Potentially even great, but certainly not spiteful/horrible/bitter/hateful. Isnt that a present on its own?

But... for those of you who have wonderful avatars and nicknames but Dont get a present from me, will you now feel like you were potentially found spiteful/horrible/bitter/hateful?? Even though you were not the ones I was vetting? Am I creating more problems than good?

gee, no I dont know what to do. Research or no research….
