Here's a collection of seasonal songs from a pioneer of rockabilly music and country and western who also excelled in jazz and southern boogie, like her friend Chet Atkins (check out Atkins' 1964 classic 'Progressive Pickin' to hear the modal transition between modern country and jazz occurring before your ears).
Lee recorded 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree' in 1958. This record has sold over 25 million copies around the world and currently has the 4th most digital downloads sold of any Christmas single according to Wikipedia.
When Lee came to record her 11th studio album, 'Merry Christmas From Brenda Lee' (1964), she was still just 19 years of age.
"I only wish Chet Atkins could be here for this joyous occasion."
