Warriors on the road again for Christmas. Draymond Green: "I have a 7-year-old, a 5-year-old and a 1-year-old. I want to spend some time at home with my kids, too. We're not playing against a defending champion. If we're playing against a defending champion, you understand, but we're not. And it's a bit frustrating to have to go on the road a second year in a row. So now I [missed] my daughter's first Christmas, and I'll miss her second one. It's kind of fucked up. But it's the reality. That's what we're faced with. "You have to go do your job, but we're human beings, too. So like I said, I missed her first one and I'll miss her second one. I can't explain that to her. So it sucks. We're not robots, we're not machines. We're actual human beings with actual feelings, with actual families." A agree it is a little shitty. But what can you do? Millions of Americans watch football and basketball on holidays. These athletes are in the position financially that they can have Thanksgiving or Christmas any day that week. And their job allows them to give anything and everything to their family. 10s of millions of other Americans both have to work and don't have that luxury, so the plight of the NBA player is not high on my list of people I feel bad for. I will say, however, that they should change it up. If you were in the road last year, you should be home this year. Now that won't fix everything, and there will be people on new teams that go on the road multiple years in a row. But that kind of scheduling makes nothing but sense.
