I didn't have too much of a problem with him being a devout Christian, but then the Liberal Democrats are an irrelevancy anyway; especially as they had decided not to form a coalition with either Labour or Conservatives. I can't help but think that the media may have been a bit softer on a devout Muslim leader, because in our society we tend to set the bar a bit lower for people with brown skin.
