If he had been 'expressing his bigotry' you might have had a point. But he wasn't, so you don't.

And one thing I will say for Tim Farron: he kept his party's original promise and voted against the rise in university tuition fees to 9,000 pa. So while I disagreed with a lot of what he said, I respect him for that.
