Your taste in movies, mainly. It wasn't meant to be an insult, per se. Sometimes we agree, sometimes not; you just have very specific taste, is all -- the cinematic palate, it turns out, of a man who's never smoked weed! Oh, I'm not taking it as an insult. I'm just fascinated by your thinking! What kind of movies do you take me as liking, if I may ask? For instance, I think you can tell a lot about a person based on their stance on the Star Wars flicks. I myself, in the interest of full disclosure, am an unapologetic lover of the six Lucas films and not a fan of the new movies, or at least TFA. (I thought Rogue One was "fine," if superfluous.) I realize you differ and instead fall into the category of loving the original trilogy, hating the prequels, and thinking TFA is enjoyable but shallow and "badly written." This indicates to me that you are very much a traditionalist and of a certain level of refinement. I would guess that you always prefer the original theatrical releases to the 1997 Special Editions, as well. A real scotch-on-the-rocks type of dude. Maybe whiskey. Amirite?  |
