And I never said you said that, so you're the one making nonsense up. What I said was that you dismiss real bigotry as unimportant "unless it involves prison or worse". The only example of serious bigotry that you have given so far in this thread is "If you want to see intolerance against gay people, go check out Chechnya, or African laws that send gay people to jail." And I am perfectly fine with that opinion. The cake thing is an example of christian bigotry, but as examples of bigotry go it's not up there with lynching black folks or beheading non-muslims, certainly. And at no point have I argued otherwise. But here's the thing, and there's really no getting away from this or you : What makes you out to be a fricken' moron is the fact that you hold that view... and yet then turn around and characterise people doing nothing more than state their opinion of Farron as "hostility vs Christians reaches fever pitch". The reality is that if refusing to bake a cake is a minor, trivial bit of bigotry, then saying that you think a politician is despicable is even less so. You are pointing out that the molehill is much smaller than the mountain... in the middle of a rant about a speck of dust next to the molehill. So yeah. Like it or not, you remain a hypocrite. The hostility, scorn, mockery, derision Christians face in Western Europe, and parts of America, is infinitely times worse than being denied from one specific cake shop icing arrangement on your cake, in the midst of a society that widely celebrates you. If the former to you is nothing more than just "people stating their opinion", then you are brainwashed beyond words and it is hopeless speaking reason to you. You can't act like a bigoted piece of shit and refuse to bake a cake, then expect people to treat you with tolerance and acceptance. "Please be more tolerant of my intolerance"... -- Eat my shit.
