If Michael Bay did a shot for shot remake of The Shining...

I subscribe to the theory that King secretly likes Kubrick's version and did his TV movie remake with the bad CGI and the living hedges to ward off any potential attempts for a remake.

I mean, I know that's not true, but I hope it is. I can't see Kubrick's ever being topped.
