Interesting opinion on this from the acting chair of LGBT+ Lib Dems: m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/16095906Probably a fair assessment, though I still find it suspicious he resigns now when all this had kinda blown over a bit. The way it comes across is that when he finally made his "No problem with the gays here!" statement, he was obviously lying. Once the election was over he had time to think about it and the choice was to continue lying about his views for the rest of his political career... or quit. |
