I would say that were serious back then since they were already setting it up in that film. They didn't set up anything with DOFP, all they did there was prove they were too cowardly to carry on from X3 and felt the need to undo everything because they love the status quo. Remember what Beast said about time travel and Xavier learning what happened to Jean in the future? |
