Because they stood on her way. The FIRST thing she did as Dark Willow was to save Buffy's life. And Xander was right when he said that Warren was "just as evil as any Vampire you've (Buffy) have sent to dust-ville." Warren even tried to kill Dark Willow with an axe, he had to go. Believe me, I was perfectly happy to have Warren gone, and I certainly wouldn't argue that he didn't deserve his fate. I was more concerned about the effect on Willow and, even if they'd portrayed it as if it had been good for her (which they did not), that wouldn't jibe with my understanding of these feelings. And even if you argue that Warren deserved the way he was treated by Willow, Buffy and Giles did not. True, but " Jonathan and what's his name?" j/k... Andrew did.
