Yep and this was 2 and a half hours of it. The mind boggles as to why. If it was half as long it would have been much better. Why are these films so long, anyway? It's certainly not because the story requires them to be. There must be a logical-- that is, financial-- reason for it. The mind boggles as to why they are so long. I was perplexed as to why that was. I know that merchandise supplements the income for films like this, so much so that one of the Pixar 'Cars' films is actually the most profitable film ever made when merchandise is taken into account. So maybe the rationale is to include as many Transformers as possible to ensure maximum revenue. Then again maybe not, as the humans do the majority of the action really. The film was absolutely saturated with constant dumb action with a bloated cast of characters who all had to share the heroic deeds.
