I think there was a lot of pushing and shoving towards the producers/animators of the TV show, to either try and recreate or at least have some very prominent similarties to Burton and his two Batman films. I liked it, and hated how several of the figures ended up changing dramatically later on, as Catwoman, Penquin, Mr. Freeze and the Joker all came off as horrible looking, compared to the "classic" Batman: Animated Series in the first few seasons.
The opening music, Jack Napier, Selina Kyle, Penguin, Alfred, Batmobile, Batwing, the 40s-50s gothic/industrial retro look of Gotham, there are probably a lot more stuff that was heavily inspired or "lifted" from Burton and his movies/style, but it all made the show look stunning and still for me is one of the finest TV-shows of the 90s.
