As for Logan, critics went easy on it because it was Jackman's swan song and because they had the "guts" to kill him in the end (cowardly, waiting until some film set in the future to do this).
As for Dark Knight, it also had little competition and had a special something that protected it from negative critics. And no, it wasn't any acting.
TDK is not a good film. There is no story there. What is the point of the film? To show that some people are just crazy and want to make people suffer? Whats the point in that? Its just lazy writing by people who had no clue what to make this film about.
It all looks awesome but its all very thin. The love for this movie comes from one thing and that is because its Ledgers great goodbye. I found his performance over the top and not good at all. He adds to the pointlesness of the complete film.
Batman Begins is the only good film in The Dark Knight Triology.
