So Venom is a bad movie? I haven't seen it yet.
Listen, if they're bothering to work together, I'm going to give them credit for attempting to produce a quality product. Homecoming looks solid for instance, so let's give it a run and see what happens. If it's shit, we'll ignore it, and that's why they're going for loose continuity.
They obviously aren't working together (or on the same page). With that interview you can see that Pascal jumped the gun and is just blurting out stuff. Then you had all that crap about taking the character back after a couple movies. Also, Homecoming is mostly a MCU movie under Sony. It's not the MCU letting Sony make a Spider-man movie in their universe. It's Sony letting the MCU use Spider-man (while bringing his popularity back up).
