OK so in that case I kind of err into stance 2, Jesus could do it, but to be who he really is and stay true to himself, he will not.

So you two seem to broadly agree that the future was set for Jesus because despite his powers he would not want to use them. Do you think since Jesus could be said to have free will in that case as he has no control over his wants? And whether you do or don't think he has free will, do you think he merits praise for doing what he wanted to do?
