Considering the amount of movies you have seen, you probably will regard every war-themed movie as the lovechild of Captain America: First Avenger and Thor. No way. Platoon, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, even something like The Great Escape. Those are war movies.
But again, calling WW a "creative powerhouse" but Spiderman isn't? Come on now. I'll give you one example of why Spiderman is more creative. The Vulture is established as a character whose motivations revolve around cannibalizing parts of damaged items,,, ya know,,, like a vulture.
What happened in WW that was particularly creative? She just hears about ares and leaves to stop him. There aren't any sub plots woven in, or other cultures she encounters. I actually wonder what would have happened if it was a German soldier she met and she thought they were the good guys. It's not like she bothered to find out why the fighting was going on. Would she have thought Ares was Woodrow Wilson? I just don't see any real exploration of anything going on.
Could you please praise the movie AFTER you see it? you know, like any normal person? thank you
