And because outside of a possible flashback to the Amazons there's nothing in the film that could really affect the DCU. I mean the film is pretty simple . Diana leaves to stop Ares. She does. That's it. There aren't any sub plots or artifacts that come into play. No infinity gems or secondary characters or other races or cultures set up to make an impact. She just beelines it to Ares and stops him. I'd prefer to wait until the sequel before jumping to conclusions? I'm not jumping to a conclusion, I'm just stating that there's not much material to carry over.
First Avenger establish a ton of things to build on. The Tesseract, Shield, Peggy, Bucky, Zola, Hydra, Vibranium, etc.
Wonder Woman was such a simple story, there's really nothing in it, at least not that I can see, which could make any sort of an impact like the list I just described for Cap.
