Poor Captain Culpepper has been obsessively working on the case for 18 years and when the break comes he calls his wife. He says something like, "Great news, Honey. We've cracked the Smiler Grogan case!" To which she replies, "The wha... What in hell is the Smiler Grogan case?" I think that's one of the funniest lines in the movie. My cracking up lines were whenever Jonathan Winters spoke up ('But that's a little girl's bike' / 'Trying to leave the big fellah behind, huh') and his encounters with Phil Silvers and his destruction of the filling station. And speaking of filling stations ... hhhmmmmm |
