The difference between ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Spider-Man’ apart from ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ being ‘Default Male Superhero Movie No.145’ is ‘Wonder Woman’ is revolutionary ‘cause it is going to usher in a load of new female lead comic book movies for the first time including Batgirl, Gotham City Sirens, Painkiller Jane, Witchblade, Avagelyene, Razor, the Pro, Silver & Black etc – all of which are confirmed to be development and depending on the success of them could lead to more names like Red Sonja, Vampirella, Supergirl, Birds of Prey, Darkchylde, Aphrodite IX, Raven, Zatanna, Fathom, Soulfire, Hack/Slash, Shi, Swords of Sorrow etc that have deserved to have their own movies for years but weren’t given a chance due to the sexism of Hollywood getting their chance to finally shine on screen. Now it has changed and there are many female lead comic book movies on the way and Wonder Woman is going to be remembered as the movie that changed things and finally made Hollywood wake the hell up and remember their female viewers and that there are a lot of female lead comic book series that have sold twice and even three times as much in sales as male superheroes that have had multiple movies and TV shows but have never been given a chance on screen.
