...during my military active duty (1969/1971) I flew on board a T34 trainer jet, C130 transport and a C41 Starlifter. Also a Huey Cobra gunship. I've been to The Virginia Air and Space Museum. People are allowed inside some of the exhibited craft (not the moon lander though). It's not as large as the one On the National Mall (Smithsonian) but it is an important supplement. On my last visit to Air Power Park in Hampton, Virginia some of the exhibits were showing signs of too many years exposure to the weather. I hope they take care of that if they haven't already. On not exactly related matters, the Arts, Virginia has a more extensive collection of art than the National Gallery.
