Importing the world's slaves and impoverished won't stop slavery and poverty. After 50 years of generous chain migration from third-world countries to the USA, Europe and Canada, poverty and slavery have only worsened.

You tackle the problem in these peoples' homelands. You don't import the problem and declare a moral victory that you "did something".
