It's funny but as annoying he is, I didn't mind him in the Phantom Menace. But then George Lucas inexplicably sets him up as the doofus who helped place Palpatine in power. George did this because he made it up as he went along. There was no grand plan. Jar Jar's reduced role in the trilogy was in response to negative feedback. |
