I enjoyed The Girl On the Train (2016), even though I had the ending spoiled for me just prior to seeing it. It really is a genre that doesn't produce many films of late, I would have to go back to Gosford Park (2001) for another really good recent one. Y'know, I've never seen Gosford Park, though I like Altman. Good? By the way, I was reminded of another picture that fits the category: Bogdanovich's The Cat's Meow, actually based on true events. Less a whodunnit than a Columbo-style "howcatchem," but quite good as aβwhat do they call them?β"dramedy." I really enjoyed Gosford Park, and what a cast! I liked The Cat's Meow too, I liked that it was set on a yacht.
