By the way, I was reminded of another picture that fits the category: Bogdanovich's The Cat's Meow, actually based on true events. Less a whodunnit than a Columbo-style "howcatchem," but quite good as a—what do they call them?—"dramedy."

I really enjoyed Gosford Park, and what a cast!

I liked The Cat's Meow too, I liked that it was set on a yacht.
