Note: The reason I chose this date is because I just watched a show on the schedule: PBS's "Six Characters in Search of an Author", an adaptation of a stage play. I found it highly enjoyable.
Why Salt Lake City? No real reason. I like to do different cities and hadn't done that city yet, though I admit the schedules are mostly very similar in every city. The PBS affiliate KUED had a number of local shows on the schedule, which is cool.
As much as possible, I tried to link to the shows on IMDb. However, if a show appears more than once on the schedule, it is only linked to once (hence why most of KBYU's schedule isn't linked to, since most of the shows are already linked to on KUED's schedule).
