Are we allowed to mention TV movies on this thread? Today I watched Six Characters in Search of an Author (1976, 88 minutes), an excellent PBS adaptation of the famous stage play which updates the story to the mid-1970s. It stars Andy Griffith in a role unusual for him. The production values I admit are dated, but it's still highly enjoyable.
