The MCU really isn't big on secret identities though. Outside Daredevil, I can't think of any other current MCU character that maintains a secret identity. I think they realized that maintaining a secret identity in this new age of electronic information is just too hard to maintain. People would constantly need to be dumbed down for this to work. So I think they're allowing more people in on Peter's secret so more people can cover up for him when he needs to do stuff. So MCU is basically copying Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl by having a small group of people know their identities. It makes more sense in a modern setting where we actually consider side characters decently intelligent beings (unlike Lois Lane unable to see through a pair of glasses disguise). It's more than just a pair of glasses. Superman stands up straight; Clark Kent slouches down. Superman and Clark Kent always part their hair on opposite sides. Clark Kent talks in a higher voice than Superman does. Clark Kent is clumsier and often trips over his own feet. Tony was completely ready to announce Peter's identity in a live press conference. So the 1st time that Aunt May finds out about her nephew having super-powers and being a member of the Avengers would be from a press conference? Do you think Aunt May's 1st comments to Peter will be "You're an Avenger! I'm so proud of you! If only you had your superpowers the night that your Uncle Ben was shot and killed. Then you might've been able to save Uncle Ben."?
