This is only semi-related but I'm not starting a new thread. The first time I watched From Dusk 'Til Dawn I had no idea what it was about and didn't pay enough attention to the title to really figure it out. So I'm watching this shit figuring it's going to be either: 1) A family that develops Stockholm Syndrome after being abducted by two criminals. 2) George Clooney would be forced to kill Tarantino because the weird bastard tries to rape the girl. 3) The father was actually one of the criminals' all along and they had planned in advance for him to pick them up and sneak them into Mexico where he would collect his share and there would be drama when his kids figured out what was going on. 4) The family was even more criminal than the criminals and would end up killing Clooney and Tarantino both before embarking on a huge crime spree of their own. One thing I was not at all expecting---FUCKING VAMPIRES! I was young when I first saw that. Probably 12. So the movie didn't hook me right away. I mean the gunplay is cool but I was over my cousins house and the whole family was watching it so I was kinda distracted. Then they got to the strip club and me and my cousin got a little more interested. 12 year old and boobs, ya know. Then they all turned into vampires and I was like 'This is the greatest movie ever!' Years later I really appreciated the first half and the story they were building up and start to wonder how good a movie it could've been had it continued to be a crime drama and not fallen into a goofy vampire flick.
