IMO, this is one film that ought to be remade.
I really love the British original, especially the happy ending for the two dinos.
But I had thought that they were wind-up toys, especially regarding mouth movements.
Later, I learned that they were humans in costumes, but that doesn't make them look less artificial.
With today's technology, Gorgo and his mother could look as real as the creatures in JURASSIC PARK.
Generally, I'm not a fan of 3D CGI, especially when it dominates entire movies.
But here, I think it could work out, using miniatures for London (or any other major metropolis).
I'm willing to bet it could be more successful that that disasterous remake of GODZILLA in 2000.
BTW, those Japanese "monster" movies with 'Zilla, Mothra, and Rodan are a lot of fun to watch, as long as you don't take them seriously.
