It would all depend of budget to box office ratio as well and that needs to be taken into consideration. They spend so darn much of these blockbusters though, I think it is normal for only a few to rise above breaking even and then soaring above. Not everything is going to be a smash and they wouldn't be churning them out if they weren't aware of this. The studios count their losses and seem to recuperate.
