Why don't you try articulating what would go on in the mind of the average person watching Doctor Strange that could possibly make them change a vote in the presidential election once the Ancient One's character was revealed as a woman? Just try it--it would be cute to watch you trip and fall over yourself trying to justify your idiot, lunatic nonsense. And start with this: the fact that the average film-goer would have never even heard of the character prior to seeing the movie, and thus could not know that the gender and nationality had been switched.
