I don't know what species of dinosaur Gorgo and his mama were supposed to be, but if they were tyrannosauri, well, we have learned much more about them since this movie was made, especially how they carried themselves.
In fact, in a remeke, T. Regina would be even more frightening, with her head (and mouth) closer to the fleeing mobs.
