I tend to see the discography in terms of similar eras with the albums in each going hand in hand in sound, style, production, and direction.
- Rush, Fly by Night, Caress of Steel
- 2112, A Farewell to Kings, Hemispheres
- Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures, Signals
- Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Hold Your Fire
- Presto, Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Test for Echo
- Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows, Clockwork Angels
While I love them all, it would be easier for me to pick a least favorite era, which would be the last one.
