Knowing how DC is going brighter, they will use this as a way to RESET Superman.
He will be more like the Donner/Reeve Superman movies from this film and on.
I wouldn't even be surprised if they didn't have the John Williams theme play as he returns in the sky.
I already know how it's going to go. The JL is going to be getting their asses kicked. Steppenwolf was sent instead of Darkseid because he didn't think they needed him to conquer Earth without a Kryptonian or Lantern.
Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash will look as if all hope is lost, then the SKY will crack open, the light with shine through, SUPERMAN WILL BURST INTO FRAME and the JW theme will play inspirationally and triumphantly.
