He was great in the movie, especially when he leaves Bruce. I don't know if he was in the movie long enough to warrant an Oscar nod, but he's better than most of the garbage they pick, so why not? William Hurt was nominated for an oscar for an 8 minute role in A History of Violence, so screentime isn't a factor. Michael Caine was superb in his role, and on screen at least 9 minutes, but TDKR could have been better. If he'd acted to that degree in an adaptation of "whatever happened to the caped crusader?" that would certainly be something.
