So you think the Oscars are about being fair? If so you shouldn't pay attention to awards shows because they have very little to do about what is "best". What about Nate Parker / Birth of a Nation being ignored because of Parker's past rape allegations (While Casey Affleck got a pass)? That being said, I thought Moonlight and Manchester By The Sea were both excellent. Birth of a Nation wasn't very good. It has mixed reviews. I don't think Parker's allegations had anything to do with it. It was never Oscar potential. As for Casey, he could have murdered someone and ate their corpse, and still should've won Best Actor. A person's crimes shouldn't be taken into account when deciding on nominations.
