I'll be so happy when 'The Abyss' is finally released on blu-ray. I actually didn't hate 'Evil Dead' (2013) quite like I figured I would... not that it even compares to any of the Campbell entries. Terror Firmer is stupid, dumb fun. Yeah, no kidding. It's taking long enough for "The Abyss" to get the deluxe Blu-ray treatment.
Agreed. "Evil Dead" '13 isn't all that bad. It's just not that great, either. Mean spirited and gory, but it could have used more humor and more of a fun factor. Then again, I guess they had to differentiate it from the '81 classic somewhat. That is still my favorite in the series, although "Army of Darkness" is of course very funny and quotable.
"Terror Firmer" wasn't a bargain, but I couldn't resist anyway. I don't often see Troma releases in the stores that I haunt. Then again...maybe it was a bargain. Release could be OOP for all I know.
